Trying something new

Next to gardening, I love cooking and entertaining. I had a blog about 6 years ago that was about party planning. Why I didn't stick with it, I don't know. It could have been something but like usual, I quit what I don't see success from right away. It's frustrating but at least I know it's a character flaw! If only we stayed consistent with things in our life we enjoy or know are good for us. How much sweeter life might be.

I'm having my parents over for dinner in 2 weeks and it's my plan to blog it. We will see how it goes. It's going to be a retro theme and I'll be serving things like meatloaf, mashed potatoes, ice box cake, and cocktails. I'm so excited! I'm going to test out the food for dinner tonight so I can practice before the final date.
